In the sale on Friday, October 29, the Nutrien Livestock team will yard 2000 cattle, making it an ideal sale to mark in the calendar if you are looking for store cattle.
The sale, which will commence at 10am, will feature large drafts of quality ownerbred pastoral yearling steers, heifers and bulls, along with a strong line-up of local weaner and yearling steers and heifers.
The sale will again be sequentially interfaced on AuctionsPlus giving buyers that are unable to attend in person, the opportunity to operate at the sale.
Nutrien Livestock commercial cattle manager Skye Ogerly said this month's sale would again provide a great opportunity for buyers looking for store cattle.
"We will have some big lines of pastoral cattle coming in which will be suitable to background and then there will be local lines ready to put on feed," Ms Ogerly said.
"There will also be some potential future breeders among the pastoral heifers on offer as they come with a really good breeding background."
The pastoral lines will fill the most pens in the yarding and one of the biggest vendors in these pens will be Andrew Glenn Cattle Co, Ashburton Downs station, Paraburdoo, with an offering of 100 steers and 300 heifers.

The steers and heifers on offer from the enterprise will predominantly be Hereford and Braford types that will suit backgrounding buyers while some of the heifers will be suitable as future breeders.
Both lines display a good temperament.
Once backgrounded, cattle from the Andrew Glenn Cattle Co are known to perform in feedlots.
Another big line of pastoral cattle to be offered in the sale will come from the Hamersley family, Haseley stud, who have nominated 150 steers and 150 heifers from their renowned Droughtmaster herd.

In the breakdown they will offer 75 Droughtmaster steers and 75 Angus-Droughtmaster cross steers alongside 75 Droughtmaster heifers and 75 Angus-Droughtmaster cross heifers.
The Haseley herd is based at Wandagee and Boolathana stations near Carnarvon.

The Droughtmaster sires used in the herd are homebred as well as from various Queensland studs and Comanche stud in WA.
When it comes to the Angus cross drafts these have come about by the Hamersley family using Angus bulls over a small number of select Droughtmaster cows on Boolathana station.
Other bigger pastoral drafts will be offered by Minara Pastoral Co, Leonora, which has nominated 150 Santa Gertrudis-Shorthorn cross heifers while Murgoo station, Yalgoo, is set to offer 150 Droughtmaster steers and Bettini Beef, Port Hedland, will offer 140 Brahman cross heifers.
The heifers are off Bettini Beef's northern properties but have been backgrounded for the past three weeks at Gingin.
Also offering numbers will be Killara station, Meekatharra and Turee Creek, Newman, which will offer 100 Santa Gertrudis heifers and 114 Shorthorn heifers respectively.
The Turee Creek heifers have been backgrounded at New Norcia since July.
In the pastoral bull offering one line buyers should take a good look at is 40 bulls from Jim and Joy Motter, JR & JD Motter, Badgingarra.

The Droughtmaster and Droughtmaster-Red Angus cross yearling bulls will present very well and are of very good quality.
Most of their mothers are based on Munda Droughtmaster bloodlines and they are sired by either Munda Red Droughtmasters or Red Angus bulls from the Cowcher family's Willandra stud at Williams.
Whenever the Motters present cattle for sale they are always keenly sought after.
They recently sold cull cows for an average of $1844 a head.
Along with offering Santa Gertrudis heifers, Killara station will also present 50 Santa Gertrudis bulls.
In the local lines a draft which is worthy of inspection will be 20 Simmental cross steers from Maverick and Amber de Burgh, M de Burgh, West Pinjarra.

The 12 to 13-month-old steers are sired by a Mubarn Simmental bull and the temperament of them is a credit to the vendor.
They are very quiet after being extremely well-handled, being worked on horseback, and with bikes and dogs.
These steers will be fantastic to continue to grow on grass or put onto feed.
They have had access to pasture and lucerne silage.
Mostert Dairy will also offer Simmental cross cattle in the sale.
It has nominated 20 Simmental cross steers and 50 Simmental cross heifers.
Other sizeable lines in the local section will be presented by LP Christian, Bakers Hill and Rudd Family Trust, Coorow.
LP Christian has nominated 32 Murray Grey-Simmental cross cattle (16 steers and 16 heifers) aged 13 to 15 months while the Rudd Family Trust will truck in 36 Angus (18 steers and 18 heifers) aged eight to 12 months.
